About

Famous for its nightly live music tradition and unlikely truths of record-breaking tequila consumption, ladies of the evening, Shanghai tunnels and residents of a rather more spectral nature, the legendary White Eagle Cafe, Saloon & Rock 'n' Roll Hotel makes for memorable lunches or after work gatherings with coworkers and friends. Enjoy a pint on the outdoor deck and beer garden or head indoors...

Reviews

The place is cozy and I like how it's set up; you can sit in the back, near the stage (if you're lucky enough to score a table), or up front in one of the booths if you'd like to talk but still enjoy the ambiance of a live show. Long bar, brick walls, and great lighting make it feel home-y. But, as usual for McMenamins, The White Eagle is always understaffed and overcrowded. What staff they have is cheerful and nice (weird for Portland), but there isn't much three (or two) waitstaff/barkeeps can do with the masses of customers.
